It gives me immense honor and privilege in welcoming you all as the Director - Principal of Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences located in the “Heart of Central Delhi”,(an eminent “Centre of Dental Excellence). The Institute is affiliated to the University of Delhi and Government of NCT of Delhi. Since its inception in the Year 1983, our Institute has completed its 40 years of imparting Dental Science education and skills to the post graduate and undergraduate students. Over the years, the institute has grown tremendously and achieved a remarkable reputation of being the best  Dental College in India. The Institute runs an undergraduate program (BDS) with 50 students and Post-graduate courses in all Dental Specialties and is recognized by the Dental Council of India . The Dental hospital has been providing state-of-the-art dental healthcare facilities to the patients and aims towards accessible and affordable dental care solutions for the society. Our aim is to deliver best quality dental education aimed at the holistic development of the students, both in patient care services and technological advancement. Our Institute focuses not only in imparting education and knowledge in the field of Dentistry, but also to imbibe in our students – spirits of empathy, wisdom, compassion and running back to the society. The hospital is accredited under National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) since 2011 and has successfully completed its 4^th cycle of accreditation.

We feel blessed and proud for our world class infrastructure with all state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities, classrooms, tutorial facilities, Pre-Clinical and Clinical Skill Labs creating a perfect environment for knowledge and skills development. To keep our faculty and students updated about new development in the field of dentistry, “Continuing Dental Education Programs” are regularly organized in the institution. Emphasis on Skill-training and confidence building through excellent experiential learning opportunities with hands-on training is one of the core values of our training programs. We take pride in providing student-centered, outcome-based education as well as a range of value-added courses.

The Capital of India, known for its vibrancy and diversity, brimming with huge tourist attraction and its challenging weather conditions, is the Center point for all dental care facilities, education and research activities. Our Institute has been playing a pivotal role in delivering high-end dental care services as an eminent tertiary dental care health facility in Delhi-NCR region. Our success has been a fruit of a team of well qualified and experienced faculty and skilled staff, who has supported the institute with their dedication and commitment in teaching, administration, developing professional expertise, research and serving the society. We focus on advanced methodologies and technologies for Dental education, curriculum development and all-round progress of the students, to meet up the ever-evolving standards of the dental sciences and patient care services at regional, national and international levels. The services has a huge spectrum from all preventive dental care treatments like Flouride & sealant applications to advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeries. We aspire to make a difference in the perception and implementation of Oral Health Programmes in India.

The Institute has numerous feathers in its name, foremost of which is the “Mobile Dental Clinics Project” under National Health Mission Scheme (NHM), a project targeting the highest population density zones of North East district of Delhi. Since last decade, a huge number of population has been screened and provided basic dental care services through these Mobile Dental Clinics. The Institute has also been declared as the “National Resource Centre for Oral Health and Tobacco Cessation” under National Oral Health Program, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, making a huge contribution in development of resource material and capacity building of the dental professionals for motivating and implementing the Tobacco Cessation initiatives to grassroots level.

The Institute also appreciates the continuous association with the sister institutions like Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), Lok Nayak Hospital (LNH), G.B. Pant Institute of Post Graduate Medical Examination and Research (GIPMER) and Guru Nanak Eye Centre (GNEC), Delhi. The whole campus of the Institute provides wide exposure to different learning opportunities to the students. There is a Central Library, Playground, Auditorium, Gymnasium, Recreation Room, Multi-purpose Room, E-Library, etc. for the students.
