Admission Procedure

No. of Seats Available :

  • 50 students are admitted annually to under graduate (BDS) Course.
  • 22 seats are available for post graduate (MDS) Course.
  • All Seats are filled on the basis of common entrance test (NEET).

Distribution of Seats:

  • 50% PG seats filled on all India basis through NEET.
  • 50% PG seats filled under State quota through NEET.
  • 15% of UG total seats i.e. 8 seats are filled on the basis of common entrance test (NEET) on All India Basis.
  •  85% of total UG seats i.e. 42 are filled on merit basis in NEET through Delhi University as state quota.
  • 15% of UG seats i.e. 6 seats are reserved for Schedule Cast, 7½% i.e. 3 seats are reserved for Schedule Tribes & 27% seats (11) are reserved for OBC, 4 Seats are reserved for EWS category.

Duration :

  • BDS: 5 years (including one year of Internship)
  • Tentative Dates of Entrance Examination:  To be decided by Government of India.
  • EligibilityIndian Nationals of 17 years of age on December 31st of the Year of admission.

Qualification for Applying for Entrance Examination :

  • 12 years Senior Secondary Examination with at least 50% (40% minimum marks requirement for scheduled Castes/Tribes) aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together or B.Sc. with any two subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) with 50% marks and Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English passed at Higher Secondary.
  • Candidates who have appeared at the qualifying examination are also eligible.
  • Candidates should be medically fit.

 

Recruitment for junior/senior residents

Junior Residents

  • Applications are invited through advertisements in leading national dailies.
  • Application forms  can be downloaded from the website.
  • Recruitment through written examination followed by interview.
  • Total numbers of seats for junior residents are 22.

Senior Residents

  • Application forms are advertised in leading newspapers as per availability of vacancies and forms could be downloaded from the websites.
  • Recruitment through written test & interview.
  • Total number of existing Senior Residents is: 59 in various specialities.
