Webinar on “Technological Interventions in Tobacco Cessation in India: Evidence to Practice and Road Ahead” by Prof.(Dr.) Pratima Murthy, Prof. & Head, Dept. of Psychiatry, NIMHANS,Bengaluruwas held on 25th May, 2021. The speaker highlighted the past evidence for tobacco cessation and the existing gaps and roadblocks followed by the current technological interventions and their applications for tobacco cessation. Dr. Swasticharan, Additional Deputy Director General of Health Services & Director (Emergency Medical Relief) at Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India and Dr. Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi graced the occasion.
Pledge ceremony on “World No Tobacco Day, Commit to Quit” was held on 31st May, 2021 for creating awareness among students in various colleges and universities. The pledge ceremony connected and motivated students to understand and create awareness on tobacco and its impact on the society.
Shri. Satyender Kumar Jain, former Cabinet Minister in the Government of Delhi visited the institute on 15th June, 2021.

A CDE program on “Endodontic Microscope in Pediatric Endodontics” was conducted by the Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry in collaboration with Science and Engineering Research and South Indian Association of Pediatrics Dentistry on 18th September, 2021.

Dr. Rajesh Mohan and Mr. Brajesh,sons of Dr. A N Srivastava visited the Institute on 28th October 2021. They interacted with faculty and staff. They shared their memories of growing up in the campus. The meeting was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Sangeeta Talwar Ma’am, Director-Principal, MAIDS, Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, VC, IP University, Heads of the various Department’s and other senior faculty and staff of the Institute.
